Society
The German Branch of WPSA is a non-profit-making registered organisation with around 350 members. According to its rules it pursues the objective of promoting poultry science.
The Society represents Poultry science in the umbrella organisation of Scientific Societies in Agriculture, nutrional, veterinary and environmental research and in the European and International Branch of WPSA as a member. The society nominates its representatives for both bodies.
The Society organises an annual scientific conference at which around 100 scientists and practists from all the disciplines take part. Financial surpluses from membership contributions are used to support young scientists. This contribution includes a subscription to the journal "Europoean Poultry Science". Members need only pay a reduced conference fee.
