Exciting novelties
The 1939 of Theo Grünewald sen. founded horticulture enterprise specialised 1973 in the production of high - quality young plants and named since this time under Young Plants Grünewald. In the year 1992/1993 the young plant nursery came with the first own plant breeding in the bed and bedding plant segment on the market and can register an enormous growth since then. In order to intensify these activities, 1999 the decision fell to found the Grünewald Veredelings B.V. with seat in ‘s Gravenzande. Today Grünewald produces young plants at locations in Germany, the Netherlands, France, Spain, Tenerife and Kenya. The own laboratory is certified by the NAKT since October 2006 and can supply certified young plants since 2007. This offers highest security to the producer concerning disease free and sort authenticity – best conditions for a successful culture.

Begonia „ Apadana “ und „ Belmona “
This year the two new hanging Begonia series “Apadana“ and “Belmona“ from our own breeding are introduced. The Begonia Tuberhybrida “Apadana“ varieties were selected on bushy, well branched growth habit, well filled blooms and high mildew tolerance. The varieties make sturdy plants. Six varieties are offered. The “Belmona“ begonias are characterised by bright colours and come with three varieties on the market. |

„ Checkies “
A complete new product idea Günewald offers with the “Checkies“. There are three different colour varieties, which were already plugged together as young plants. They allow to offer an attractive, multicoloured mix in a pot. “Checkies“ are Verbena, Petunia and Calibrachoa. Check out by yourself the stunning effect of this new product. “Checkies“ will be introduced in 2009. |

Calibrachoa „ Sweet Bells “
The “Sweet Bells“-Calibrachoa of Grünewald are characterised by a halfupright growth habit, whereby they are easily to cultivate and to pack. They are outstandingly suitable for hanging baskets and balcony boxes and convince by opening the blooms on the early morning. The well known nine varieties now are enriched by five further exciting colour varieties.

Verbena x Phlox „ Velox “
An absolute world novelty are the “Velox“-Verbenas. These are interspecific hybrids of Verbena and Phlox. The “Velox“-Verbenas offer a continuous flowering abundance, have a trailing growth habit and are very mildew tolerant. Two colour varieties, `Velox Softpink´ and `Velox Pink´, will be available. |
