Top products are nursery stock, annuals and perennials, with a growth of 20 % in the first half of 2007. The export of cut flowers and foliage even grew with 41 %. In 2006, Germany imported Belgian ornamental plants and nursery stock for a total value of 36 million Euro. Besides, Belgium is a worldwide specialist for its begonias and azaleas.

Rosa `Xantippe ´
This rose grows well and blossoms abundantly in charming clusters of single flowers. The closed bud is soft pink. When it opens, it turns white with a slight purplish-pink sheen and a sharp contrast to the yellow stamens. The flowers have a diameter of about 4 cm and the plant grows to about 60 or 70 cm high.
