Copying Plant Data

Copying price and size entries, text additions. For copying purposes, Plantus differentiates between price and size entries, additional texts and plant data. These can be transferred as follows:

Copy functions. The copy functions that transfer plant data from one plant to another are active only within the plant lists. They are integrated into the [Edit] commands. Select the data to be copied from the source plant and copy it to the clipboard using the command [Edit.Copy]. Now select the plant with which you wish to associate the new data and insert the entries using the command [Edit.Paste]. If you have selected more than one destination plant, you can transfer the data to each of them. If the plant descriptions to be inserted contain a blank, the original value of the destination plant at the corresponding position remains unchanged.

Delete existing data option. The original data of the destination plant can be deleted by checking the box 'Delete existing data'. If this setting is not active, the new plant data to be inserted is merely appended to the existing data. It is easy to copy and overwrite data, but it is just as easy to make mistakes and overwrite important entries. Hence, you should use this function with caution. A more complex procedure is necessary for transferring the remaining plant data.
