PLANTUS can be run from the CD-ROM drive without being installed or it can be set up on the hard disk drive. The latter will be of advantage when your own data or photographs are added.
When the CD-ROM is placed in the drive Windows should automatically run the installation program. If the computer fails to do so please open [START.EXE] in the main file on the CD-ROM.
The installation program displays options to run PLANTUS from the CD-ROM or to install the database onto the hard disk. The installation on the hard disk creates a group of programs from which subsequent sessions will be started. To run PLANTUS from the CD-ROM please open [START.EXE] in the main file.
PLANTUS requires the Borland Database Engine to operate. If you do not already have this software on your computer or if you have an earlier version, Borland Database Engine needs to be installed or updated.
