Limiting the range of criteria. The Plantus database contains detailed plant information. The large number of criteria is not always practical when you are using the program. If you are only interested in data elements that concern a particular topic (e.g., the 'site'), you can limit the choice of criteria to those which interest you by using the output filter.
You define an output filter in the same way that you select criteria for the browser layout. You choose the criteria for the output filter in a dialog box in the criterion tree on the left-hand side of the screen, and copy them to the query table on the right. The criteria of the query table are then taken into account when you activate the output filter for the corresponding operation.
