Changes within the database affect the user database structure. Make sure that you save and back up all data before you make any changes.
The User Database
To modify the data structure, open the user database using the command [System.Servers.Criteria server]. The dialog box of the user database is then opened.

Creating and deleting criterion groups
You can create or delete criterion groups using this dialog box. You can also modify existing criterion groups by selecting a criterion group in the list window. To do so, double-click with the right mouse button.
Deleting user database or user tables
The command [Delete user database] deletes the user database, together with all criterion definitions and database contents. By contrast, the command [Delete user tables] only deletes the database contents and does not change the definition in any way. If you have entered data in criteria that you have defined yourself, it will be deleted by both commands.
Use user-defined database
Check this box to activate the user database. The user database is pre-set to off as standard.
OK. When you modify the structure of an existing database, e.g., by pasting or deleting criteria or criterion groups, clicking [OK] activates an internal conversion function that converts the database tables of the user database to the new format. Do not be concerned if this procedure is somewhat time-consuming.
An example: To give an example of the creation of a new criterion group, we will show you how to create a user-specific criterion group for fruit trees. Note that this criterion group already exists in Plantus, with entries for around 120 fruit trees. To create new criterion groups, choose the command [New criterion group].
